Job summary

Novus Foods seeks a Maintenance Lead to serve as the senior technical resource in the Maintenance Department, guiding technicians and actively participating in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive tasks for manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

You will coordinate daily maintenance activities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist the Maintenance Supervisor in achieving departmental goals while ensuring safety, GMP, and food-safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Assign and coordinate daily maintenance activities among technicians.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to maintenance personnel.
• Assist in diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation issues.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Maintain compliance with safety, GMP, food safety, and company policies.
• Assist with contractor oversight and maintenance projects as assigned.
• Communicate equipment status and maintenance needs to production and management teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Serve as acting department leader in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor when assigned.
