Job summary

AAMCI-MANAGEMENT, INC is seeking a Lead Maintenance employee for a 40-unit Section 8 property in High Shoals, North Carolina. The role focuses on safety, customer service, and time management to create a home and strong community for residents.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical problems, installing and repairing electrical and plumbing systems, and completing work orders with attention to cost and safety. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• HVAC/EPA Certified required.
• Ability to adhere to work safety program.
• Ability to perform all duties including lifting, climbing, standing, bending, lifting, unloading, and working outdoors in inclement weather.

• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical problems.
• Assemble, install and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components.
• Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
• Complete work orders.
• Order parts as necessary.
• Record type and cost of repair work.
• Participate in on-call emergency coverage evenings, weekends and holidays.

Maintenance Supervisor I

AAMCI is hiring a Lead Maintenance employee to join our team at a 40-unit Section 8, multi family property in High Shoals, North Carolina.

M-F 8-5, on call premium: on call every other week

The community is an affordable housing community with Section 8 rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive.

This position participates in on-call emergency for evening, weekends, and Holidays, and pays a premium rate of pay for each call out.

AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certificates.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform preventive maintenance

• Assemble, install and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components
• Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drill, and wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
• Complete work orders
• Order parts as necessary
• Recording type and cost of repair work
