Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a Laborer to support shop and yard operations. This safety-sensitive role values reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include assisting all personnel, drilling holes in steel, loading materials, grinding, and preparing surfaces for painting.

Overtime and punctual attendance are required. Pay ranges from $19 to $20 per hour with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in labor or willingness to train.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• The Laborer is responsible for assisting all shop and yard personnel whenever needed.
• Drill holes in fabricated steel.
• Assist in loading material on trucks.
• Lay out and cut material with the Parts Supervisor.
• Grind material for fit-up or after welding.
• Clean material for painting.
• Keep the shop clean.
• Assist fitters in positioning material for tacking.
• Operate punches, magnetic drills, grinders, and sandblasting equipment.
• Scrape structural steel for paint preparation.
• Adhere to safety, QA/QC policies and OSHA regulations.
• Work overtime and punctual attendance.
