Job summary

Choggiung is seeking a maintenance support worker to assist in repairs and remodeling of equipment, vehicles, buildings, and facilities across properties. You will support crews with tools, transport materials, and help keep job sites clean and safe.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, good communication, and a valid Alaska driver's license. It involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs, and occasional travel to different sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid AK Driver’s License.
• Ability to travel to various locations and be on call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Locates supplies and tools and equipment to repair and maintain vehicles, equipment, buildings, fixtures, appliances, to maintenance staff
• Supports installing or repairing flooring, doors and windows.
• Supports rough and finished carpentry such as framework, cabinetry, shelving, trim, dry wall, paint, etc.
• Supports installing and repairing pipes, fittings and fixtures for water, heating and drainage systems.
• Supports repairing and replacing leaking or defective roofing.
• Supports installing indoor and outdoor electrical systems, lighting fixtures and bulbs/tubes.
• Shovels snow, spreads salt and sand in entry ways to buildings
• Good communication skills with co-workers and public
• Other duties as assigned.
