Job summary

Chobani is offering a Maintenance Work Experience Program in New York for students pursuing industrial maintenance. You will participate in real-world projects guided by mentors, focusing on project management, analytical problem solving, and leadership.

You will be involved in repair and preventative maintenance of plant equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, coordinating with leaders for development, and driving safety improvements.

Qualifications

• In process of completing an Industrial Maintenance vocational or technical schooling program.
• Flexible schedule available; must be willing to work at least 30 hours per week.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
• Mechanical proficiency, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to climb ladders.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Engage with leaders across the business for learning and development opportunities.
• Identify and implement safety and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on motors, pumps, conveyors, instrumentation, and production equipment according to manuals and specs.
• Locate problem sources by observing equipment in operation and using testing instruments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leads and managers.
