Job summary

Chobani is seeking an intern for Performance Improvement & Reliability at our South Edmeston, NY facility. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to identify losses, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership of a defined project, data analysis, and creating dashboards to enhance operational visibility and efficiency.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical Engineering or related field with anticipated graduation Dec 2027–Jun 2028.
Experience using Excel for data analysis, organization, and reporting.
Demonstrated data analysis experience through coursework, projects, research, internships, or work.
Experience working on team-based projects with multiple stakeholders.
Experience presenting project findings, recommendations, or outcomes.
Willingness to relocate to South Edmeston, NY and work on-site in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Own or support a defined project or improvement initiative from planning through implementation and final recommendations.
Analyze OEE, downtime, waste, PM completion, startup, quality, and labor losses to identify opportunities.
Partner cross-functionally to investigate recurring issues using structured problem-solving.
Support preventive maintenance optimization, PM audits, equipment assessments, and reliability initiatives.
Lead or support projects that reduce waste and downtime and improve reliability and labor productivity.
Build dashboards and data visualizations using Excel and Power BI to improve visibility and decision-making.
