Job summary

Allegion invites motivated students to join our Princeton, IL maintenance team as a Summer Intern. You’ll lay out and relabel electrical cabinets, and use AutoCAD to map panel locations. You’ll also build an Excel file with hyperlinks and power/use details for each panel.

Expect hands-on learning in a safety-focused environment. Qualifications include pursuing a degree in Maintenance/Engineering, familiarity with AutoCAD, and strong general computer skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certificate in maintenance or manufacturing.
• Experience or familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical knowledge.
• Must be self-motivated.
• General computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Follow safety regulations and 5S standards.
• Flexibility to work overtime.
• Perform tasks timely and accurately.
• Ability to establish effective work relationships.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• General knowledge of machinery.
• Basic math, computer, and measuring skills.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Layout and relabel main electrical cabinets.
• Create AutoCAD layer mapping electrical panels and I-lines.
• Create Excel file with hyperlinks to each panel including power and use details.
• Verify and label panels with power/use information as needed.
