PACIV offers a Summer Internship in the Electrical Control Panel Shop in Indianapolis, IN. You will work with panel shop professionals and engineers to gain hands-on experience building and assembling industrial electrical control panels.

The role targets students in Electrical or Mechatronics engineering or related fields, with a focus on learning schematics, panel layouts, and safe tool usage in a real-world shop environment onsite.

Qualifications

• Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Interest in automation, manufacturing, or electrical systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and hands-on mindset.
• Willingness to learn and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Assist with laying out back panels, mounting components, and routing wiring.
• Support assembly and wiring of industrial electrical control panels.
• Learn proper panel fabrication techniques and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand drawing revisions and project updates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and support production schedules.
