Job summary

ISC Constructors LLC is seeking Maintenance Instrument Technicians to support PEMEX projects. The role focuses on calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing process instruments as part of a robust maintenance program.

Candidates should have 6+ years of craft-specific experience, an Instrumentation Associate's degree, and a clean driving record. Proficiency in reading schematics and passing the NCCER assessment is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years craft-specific experience in instrumentation/maintenance.
• Associate's degree in Instrumentation is required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass NCCER Written Skill Assessment.
• Knowledge of OSHA electrical rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as part of the maintenance program.
• Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors, and other instruments.
• Pressure test pneumatic instruments for leaks and controllers, transducers, and valves in service.
• Troubleshoot energized motor controls and size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses.
• Read one-line schematics, P&ID's, and ladder diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Perform field calibration of transmitters, controllers, transducers, and recorders.
• Ensure instruments meet performance requirements and identify optimization opportunities.
• Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination.

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic Maintenance Instrument Technicians with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as a part of the facility’s maintenance program
• Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments
• Pressure test pneumatic instruments for leaks, pneumatic instruments with controllers, transducers, and valves in service
• Perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems
• Involve in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities
• Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination
• Perform field calibration of electronic instruments with transmitters, controllers, transducers, valves, and recorders in service
• Read, understand, correlate, and trouble-shoot from one-line schematics P & ID's, and ladder diagrams
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Written Skill Assessment
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
• Minimum 6 years craft-specific experience
• Associate's degree in Instrumentation
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
