Job summary

ISC Constructors LLC is seeking NCCER certified Instrument Technicians with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join our maintenance-focused team. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as part of our facility maintenance program and read schematics P&ID and ladder diagrams.

Applicants should have NCCER certification, an associate degree in instrumentation, and be able to pass drug/alcohol testing and background checks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years craft-specific experience.
• 4+ years with NCCER Certification.
• Associate's degree in Instrumentation.
• Able to pass post-offer drug/alcohol test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments.
• Maintain process instruments including valves and monitors.
• Pressure test pneumatic instruments, controllers, transducers, and valves.
• Troubleshoot energized motor controls.
• Read one-line schematics, P&ID and ladder diagrams.
• Perform field calibration of instruments with transmitters, controllers, and recorders.

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic NCCER Certified Instrument Technicians with a wide variety of abilities and a minimum of 6 years of experience, to compliment our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as a part of the facility’s maintenance program
• Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments
• Pressure test pneumatic instruments for leaks, pneumatic instruments with controllers, transducers, and valves in service
• Perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
• Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
• Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems
• Involve in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities
• Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination
• Perform field calibration of electronic instruments with transmitters, controllers, transducers, valves, and recorders in service
• Read, understand, correlate, and trouble-shoot from one-line schematics P & ID's, and ladder diagrams
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Written Skill Assessment
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
• Minimum 6 years craft-specific experience
• Minimum 4 years with NCCER Certification
• Associate's degree in Instrumentation
