Job summary

Cave Creek Unified School District 93 in Scottsdale is seeking an Entry-level Maintenance I to support district schools and facilities. You will perform journeyman-level repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and locks, and assist with building renovations and major equipment installations.

Expect to diagnose, repair and maintain diverse systems, including fire, security and intercoms.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade schooling or apprenticeship in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry or locksmithing.
  • EPA refrigerant certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Support schools and principals to maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Perform journeyman level repairs across multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, locks).
  • Lead minor construction projects and installations of major equipment.
  • Inspect and repair building systems including fire, security, and intercom.

Job Description

Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Performs journeyman level major repairs and routine maintenance at all district facilities, including, but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting and locks. Performs construction projects and installations of major equipment as well as building renovation.

Performs quality journeyman level work in every task performed. Diagnoses and repairs a variety of electrical equipment including motors, electric heat strip units, relays timers and switches. Maintains and repairs special systems, ie, fire, security and intercom systems.

High School diploma or equivalent. Schooling in a building or construction trade, apprenticeship, or a combination of both for journeyman status in one or more of the following trades: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry or locksmithing. Possess or the ability to obtain an EPA refrigerant certification. Basic knowledge of central plant systems such as chillers, pumps, boilers, towers and controls. Ability to work various shifts if needed.
