Job summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Kirkland, WA to perform routine repairs and maintenance across the facility. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in tight spaces, patching, painting, wall covering, and ceiling tile tasks.

You will operate, repair and clean systems and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and determine corrective actions. This position entails following safety practices and performing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to safely operate manual and power hand tools.
  • 3 years of maintenance/carpentry/painting experience.
  • Current Washington State Driver’s license.
  • Maintenance vocational/technical coursework can substitute for up to one-year experience.

Responsibilities

  • General knowledge and proficiency required for repair and maintenance of surfaces in the facility in a safe and efficient manner, including patching, priming, painting, wall cover, Formica, floor covering cove base and ceiling tile.
  • Operates, maintains, repairs and cleans equipment and systems as necessary; troubleshoot problems, access equipment in crawl spaces, ceiling spaces, air plenums; move items weighing over 60 pounds.
  • Determines the proper course of action and implements repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Wage Range: $33.14 - $43.26 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary

Performs routine repairs and maintenance to the building, requires a strong mechanical aptitude and associated building construction knowledge to perform most assigned tasks, and routine repairs.

Primary Duties:

1. General knowledge and proficiency required for repair and maintenance of surfaces in the facility in a safe and efficient manner, including patching, priming, painting, wall cover, Formica, floor covering cove base and ceiling tile.

2. Operates, maintenance, repairs and cleans equipment and systems as necessary. This requires the ability to troubleshoot problems, access the equipment or system that needs repair, i.e., enter crawl spaces, enter ceiling spaces, enter air plenums, remove items such as plumbing, fixtures, motors, and pumps, some weighing in excess of 60 pounds.

3. Determines the proper course of action and implements repairs.

4. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to safely operate manual and power hand tools often in difficult locations and positions
  • 3 years of maintenance/carpentry/painting experience
  • Current Washington State Driver’s license
  • Maintenance vocational/technical course work can substitute for up to one-year experience
