Airgas, Inc. in Coatesville, PA is seeking a Maintenance I/E Technician to operate and maintain instrumentation, electrical and mechanical equipment in the plant.

The role includes calibrations, preventive maintenance, transmitter work, on-call rotations, and occasional support for nearby plants during shutdowns; pay is $35-$40/hr with comprehensive benefits. High school diploma and 2–5 years plant experience required; ability to climb up to 165 ft and CMMS documentation skills are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2–5 years industrial/cryogenic plant experience preferred.
• Understanding of control valve functions, instrument calibration, pressure/level transmitters.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment.
• Comfortable working in a non-air conditioned environment.
• Familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to climb and work at heights up to 165 ft.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high voltage electrical equipment, compressors, pumps, motors, valves.
• Disassemble/rebuild mechanical equipment, replace pumps and seals, collect vibration readings and oil samples.
• Perform basic low voltage electrical system maintenance and calibrations.
• Calibrate and replace transmitters as needed.
• Document Preventive Maintenance tasks in the CMMS system.
• Learn ASU Process and cover shifts; participate in on-call rotation.
• Assist nearby plants during shutdowns or PM activities.

Maintenance I/E Technician (Open)

Location: Coatesville, PA (AMG) - ASU

Job Description: The Instrument Maintenance Technician has responsibility for the operation and control of equipment used in the process of air separation, and accountability for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical devices and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Working around High voltage Electrical equipment, compressors, pumps, motors, valves; Working around cryogenic process equipment such as pumps, repair valves, replace hoses.
• Perform basic disassembly and rebuild of mechanical equipment, changing out pumps, mechanical seals, collect vibration readings, collect oil sample, Greasing rotating equipment.
• Perform basic low voltage electrical system maintenance, process control loop and readout calibrations.
• Perform transmitters calibrations, replace transmitters.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks and document them in the CMMS system. Remove and install motors and pumps.
• Learning ASU Process.
• Covering shift if a situation arises.
• Will be sharing On-Call responsibilities.
• Assisting nearby plants during their shutdown or PM activities.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 2 - 5 years of industrial plant / cryogenic plant experience preferred.
• Understanding of control valve functions, Instrument Calibration, Pressure Transmitter, Level Transmitter etc.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment
• Comfortable working in a non-air conditioned environment
• Experienced with Multimeters (Fluke Multimeters)
• Able to climb and work on heights (165 ft)
• Computer Experience, must be familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Electrical / Instrumentation equipment in a plant environment
• Candidate with a strong Mechanical background in a plant environment

Schedule, Pay & Travel

Pay: $35 - $40/hr

Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm Mon - Fri (on call alternate week)

Travel: Some travel required.
