Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a National Instrument and Electrical Technician for Dayton, OH. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical systems used in the air separation process, supporting national teams in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky with travel.

You will also help calibrate instruments, install control devices, and ensure safety compliance, with a 50% travel requirement and a 7% annual bonus alongside comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years experience maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with Field Communicator devices, such as a Hart Communicator.

$37- $40 per hour & Up Depending on experience

Location: The Instrument and Electrical Technician would be located in Dayton OH and will support the national team with a focus in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky with some travel to support other National sites.

The Instrument and Electrical Technician has the responsibility for the operation and control of equipment used in the process of air separation; also accountability for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation systems and calibrations in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations
  • Install, maintain, adjust and repair manual, pneumatic, electric and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instrumentation
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventative inspections on mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations
  • Maintain quality control and quality assurance equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs
  • Maintain calibration standards, including inspection, testing and measuring equipment as well as calibration gas cylinders
  • Perform routine and non-routine analytical calibrations and adjustments
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years experience maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems in technical processes in an industrial environment
  • Must have experience with Field Communicator devices, such as a Hart Communicator.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Position travels 50 percent of the time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of college, technical school, or military technical experience preferred
