Nucor Texas Port Recycling LLC in Houston, TX, is seeking an outdoor maintenance worker to support processing operations with a strong safety focus. You will perform hands-on maintenance, assist with welding and fabrication, and guide customers to unloading areas.

The role emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 6 AM–4 PM with occasional Saturdays; pay starts at $20–$24 per hour.

• 2 years of experience working outdoors.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong verbal communication for teamwork and customer interactions.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety standards while supporting operations.

• Assist with welding, cutting, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as needed
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on shredder-related equipment
• Team Collaboration: Support fellow team members and assist with various tasks as needed to achieve our goals.
• Customer Service: Assist and guide customers to the appropriate locations for unloading materials.

• Familiarity with heavy equipment and manufacturing is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
