Job summary

Schahet Hotels LLC is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support our Fairfield by Marriott Carmel property. You will assist with repairs, help with preventive maintenance, and respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff.

Weekend availability is required, and you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and General Manager to keep the hotel clean, safe, and fully functional for guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or facilities is helpful but not required.
• Ability to use basic tools and follow safety protocols.
• Willingness to learn and work well with a team.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs in guest rooms and public areas, including light plumbing, painting, and electrical tasks.
• Support preventive maintenance to keep equipment and facilities running smoothly.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in back-of-house areas and storage spaces.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and General Manager to keep the property in top shape.

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Helper, you will:

• Assist with Repairs: Help with basic repairs in guest rooms and public areas—light plumbing, painting, electrical, and more.
• Support Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled tasks to keep equipment, systems, and facilities running smoothly.
• Respond to Requests: Address guest and team member maintenance issues quickly, professionally, and with a smile.
• Keep It Clean: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of back-of-house areas like the maintenance shop, boiler room, and storage spaces.
• Team Up: Work closely with our Maintenance Supervisor and General Manager to ensure the property is always looking and functioning its best.
