Job summary

Schahet Hotels LLC, owner of Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Airport, is seeking a hands-on Preventative Maintenance person to support our engineering team in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Weekend availability is required and training is provided if needed.

You’ll assist with repairs, perform preventive tasks, respond to guest and team requests, keep back-of-house areas safe and clean, and work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and GM to keep the property in top shape.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or facilities experience is helpful but not required—we’ll train the right candidate!
• Skills: Ability to use basic tools, follow safety protocols, and complete tasks independently.
• Availability: Must be available to work weekends.
• Attitude: Positive, team-oriented, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Repairs: Help with basic repairs in guest rooms and public areas—light plumbing, painting, electrical, and more.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled tasks to keep equipment, systems, and facilities running smoothly.
• Respond to Requests: Address guest and team member maintenance issues quickly, professionally, and with a smile.
• Keep It Clean: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of back-of-house areas like the maintenance shop, boiler room, and storage spaces.
• Team Up: Work closely with our Maintenance Supervisor and General Manager to ensure the property is always looking and functioning its best.
