Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Newark is seeking a part-time Maintenance Associate to join our hotel team in Newark, OH. You will perform guestroom and public space repairs and assist with renovations, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks to keep the property in top condition.

Qualifications

• Handling guestroom and public space repairs
• Helping with renovation projects, electrical, plumbing, HVAC fixes
• Pool and spa maintenance (because we all love a good swim, right?)
• Keeping the exterior in top shape – think landscaping, painting, and yes, snow shoveling in winter!
• Quarterly mattress flips and maintaining company vans (if applicable)

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry, is preferred. Hospitality experience is a plus. Certifications in plumbing, electrical, and pool maintenance are a plus.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
