Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe and orderly while maintaining a pleasing appearance. You will perform a variety of routine repairs and support maintenance operations in a healthcare environment.

The role requires a high school degree and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry, with responsibilities including HVAC filter changes, stocking supplies, and occasionally stepping in for the maintenance supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr.
