Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the nursing center, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment with a professional appearance. The role is full-time and runs 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Must have HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical experience; basic wiring/plumbing/carpentry knowledge is required. Responsibilities include repairs, HVAC filter changes, stocking supplies, and stepping in for the Maintenance supervisor when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical experience.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

Position is 8:30-5p Monday-Friday

Must have either HVAC, Plumbing and/or Electrical experiance

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers

• Changes filters on HVAC equipment

• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies

• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Posted Salary Range

USD $25.00 - USD $27.50 /Hr.
