Fairland Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Helper to join their team. The role focuses on keeping the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and well-presented, supporting a high standard of care.

You will perform repairs, assist with facility upkeep, and stand in for the Maintenance supervisor when needed. This position emphasizes reliability, practical skills, and teamwork within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
