Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our nursing centers clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will perform repairs, operate and change filters for HVAC systems, and assist with supplies.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic wiring, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge. The role may involve stepping in as a supervisor when needed. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Posted Salary Range

USD $21.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
