Job summary

Genesis in Shepherdstown, WV is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine upkeep in our long-term care facilities. You will repair handrails, HVAC filters, flooring and electrical systems, stock supplies, and support the supervisor in their absence.

A high school diploma and basic wiring, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge are required. This role offers stable hours, benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
