Genesis in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition with a professional appearance. You will perform repairs and support the facilities team to ensure a pleasant environment for residents and staff.

The role includes minor repairs, HVAC filter changes, stocking supplies, and stepping in for supervisory duties when needed. Competitive hourly pay is offered with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Assistant performs tasks to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly with a pleasing appearance.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Posted Salary Range

USD $21.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
