Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and well‑maintained, supporting a compassionate care environment for residents.

You will perform minor repairs, change HVAC filters, stock supplies, and, when needed, step into supervisory duties in the absence of the maintenance lead, contributing to a dependable, well‑run facility in Lebanon, PA and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds and wheelchairs.
• Repair sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
