Mission Linen Supply is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Helper. The Maintenance Helper's responsibilities include supporting the repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment such as washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers. This position involves performing preventive maintenance, welding, boiler chemical testing and adjustments, resolving safety concerns, and maintaining maintenance records. The role requires strong technical knowledge of industry equipment, the ability to work with mechanical/electrical systems, and leadership skills. Knowledge of or willingness to learn Steam Boilers, Electrical systems, Pneumatics, Schematics, Maintenance, Welding, and Plumbing is desired.

The pay range for the Maintenance Helper is $17 - $20 per hour, with starting pay based on education, experience, qualifications, and location.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation of plant machines.
2. Assist with start-up and shutdown of equipment including boilers, air compressors, pumps, and valves.
3. Perform maintenance on lint traps, shaker screen barrels, oil and water levels, and grease fittings.
4. Carry out basic repairs on machinery and identify major repairs needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least two years of maintenance engineering experience, with knowledge of machinery, electrical, electronic, plumbing, welding, and boiler applications.
• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading repair manuals & schematics.
• Training will be provided for Steam Boilers, Electrical, Pneumatics, Schematics, Maintenance, Welding, and Plumbing.

Physical Requirements

Standing or moving through the plant, handling maintenance tasks including stooping, pulling, pushing, working in cramped areas, and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.
