About the Position

This position will serve at the State Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS. It is a third-level seasoned vocational role responsible for semi-skilled work in the maintenance, alteration, and repair of state buildings and facilities. The role requires general knowledge across various trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair. The technician may oversee a maintenance crew and serves as a career transition point for employees to advance within the family or transfer to the Specialty Trades and Construction Family.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Typically requires 3-4 years of experience.
