Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Ennis, Texas.

Benefits and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $25.95 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: First shift 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes of failures and perform necessary repairs
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of issues
• Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Comply with safety, DOT, and company guidelines
• Support other operational duties as required

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including preventive maintenance
• Two or more years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

Note: Position may require driving Ryder vehicles and obtaining CDL within 6 months, passing Ryder drug tests, DOT physical, road test, and background checks.
