Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our dynamic team at our Mount Pleasant, Texas, Local Bounti facility. In this role, you will maintain and repair property and equipment to ensure maximum machinery and equipment uptime. You will work closely with production, grow teams, and other relevant departments to perform essential repairs and preventive maintenance, minimizing disruptions to production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Observe safety protocols and manufacturer instructions when performing maintenance tasks.
  2. Perform maintenance and repairs on tools, equipment, machines, and buildings, ensuring minimal downtime.
  3. Document all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks performed.
  4. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to communicate equipment status, repairs, and improvements.
  5. Work with outside contractors during facility projects.
  6. Perform minor repairs to building fixtures, plumbing, electrical systems, and conduct touch-up painting as needed.
  7. Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repairs and transfer tools and parts to workstations.
  8. Adjust, connect, and disconnect wiring, piping, and other parts using hand or power tools.
  9. Maintain vehicles, machinery, equipment, and components to ensure proper functioning.
  10. Recommend and report building and equipment improvements to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in facility maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, control systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety standards adherence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Demands:

While performing this job, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, sit, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They work near moving mechanical parts, in outdoor weather conditions, and environments both hot and cold. The noise level is usually low. Employees must frequently lift 10-25 pounds and regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
