Job summary

Presidential Hospitality is seeking a reliable full-time General Maintenance Technician to oversee repair, renovation, and upkeep for assigned properties. You will ensure facilities meet health and safety standards and support daily operations across multiple hotels in South Dakota.

The role requires experience in maintenance, with duties ranging from painting and drywall to HVac and plumbing basics, pool maintenance, and lock systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related general repair experience preferred.
• Verifiable experience with painting, sheetrock and drywall installation.
• Flexible in hours and days worked.
• Basic working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or other general repair skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull and twist frequently.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining the interior and exterior of the hotel while following company and brand standards.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, drywall repair, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, etc.
• Repair PTAC units, room furniture, fixtures and other items in maintenance and programming.
• Carry out tasks on the hotel's preventative maintenance program.
• Report on major repairs needed for the General Manager.
• Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed.
• Assist in key lock maintenance (Onity, and Miwa).
• Help maintain pools and spas.
• Certified Pool Operator or ability to obtain certification.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.

We are looking for an individual who has verifiable experience in maintenance. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations.
