Civita Health is hiring a Maintenance Assistant at Civita Care Center at Newington. You will support the maintenance team in keeping the facility clean, safe, and functional, including basic repairs and groundskeeping, while responding promptly to resident and staff requests.

You will work with a team to address larger projects, ensure proper storage of equipment, and help maintain a secure environment for residents and staff. This role emphasizes care, collaboration, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Capability to lift and move heavy objects, including furniture and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facility
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs
• Help with groundskeeping duties, including landscaping and snow removal
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for events and activities
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are in good condition and properly stored
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address larger repair projects
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and staff
