Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join its team. Assist with and perform general maintenance tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Director. The role involves groundskeeping, basic repairs, and interior maintenance tasks to uphold facility standards.

Ideal candidates have maintenance experience and some familiarity with nursing home operations. The position supports a healthcare environment with emphasis on safety and reliability across indoor and outdoor duties.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks and demonstrate a high standard of performance.
• Cut lawn, trims, and edges. Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn, shrubs, and flowers.
• Make minor repairs to equipment. Complete interior maintenance such as painting, carpet cleaning, and wall repair.
• Shovel snow from walks and driveways. Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice build-up.
