Job summary

Civita Health is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Director for Civita Care Sheriden Woods in Bristol, CT. The role oversees the maintenance department to ensure safe, reliable operation of the facility and to provide exceptional care and service to residents.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of supervisory maintenance experience, and knowledge of boilers, generators, and related systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in maintenance/plant positions preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and related mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems required.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Meet the maintenance needs of the facility.
• Identify hazards to residents or staff and take action to maintain a safe environment.
• Replace, repair, and purchase items per policy.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs and document them.
• Maintain weather protection for building and grounds.
• Supervise outside contractors.
• Serve on-call for emergencies and off-duty hours.
• Demonstrate and teach safety techniques per policy.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in maintenance/plant
