Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director with general upkeep across the facility. You will help with indoor repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks to keep the campus in top condition.

Responsibilities include lawn care, painting, minor repairs, and snow removal. Prior maintenance or nursing-home experience is preferred, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Previous nursing home experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Director.
• Cut lawn, trims, and edges. Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn, shrubs, and flowers.
• Make minor repairs to equipment. Complete interior maintenance such as painting, carpet cleaning, and wall repair.
• Shovel snow from walks and driveways. Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice build-up.
