Job summary

King and Queen County is seeking a full-time Maintenance and Grounds Technician to support the Director of Maintenance and Grounds with the upkeep, safety, functionality and appearance of all county buildings and grounds. The role covers indoor and outdoor work year-round, including simple repairs, landscaping, snow removal, and assisting with plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of maintaining grounds and parking lots.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repairs of county buildings and grounds.
• Perform and facilitate maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Landscape maintenance including mowing and edging.
• Snow and ice removal and outdoor duties in all seasons.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed.
