Job summary

Cobb County Government is seeking a general laborer for the Water Reclamation Facility in Georgia. The role covers unskilled and semi-skilled manual work to support construction, maintenance, and upkeep projects across the site.

You will lift, move, dig, shovel, and use basic tools while adhering to safety procedures. The job may include grounds, building maintenance, waste removal, and event setup tasks as needed. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; previous work experience involving equipment operation or construction and maintenance work preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Tasks require the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with weighty lifting and bending.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor in support of construction, maintenance, and upkeep projects.
• Operate and maintain equipment; load/unload materials; dig trenches and clear debris.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear; monitor traffic and worksite safety.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, building maintenance, and event setups as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor and other departments to coordinate work.
