Job summary

The Virginia Department of Corrections is hiring for a Building & Grounds Supervisor at Cold Springs Correctional Unit #10098. This role oversees maintenance work across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems, and supervises inmate workers to ensure safe, quality results.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in one or more trade areas, knowledge of repair and maintenance practices, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Progressively responsible work experience in one or more trade’s specialties.
• Working knowledge of installation, repair, maintenance practices, equipment and materials used in skilled trades (carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, grounds keeping).
• Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel.
