Saint Louis Housing Authority is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform cleaning and upkeep of Authority buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The role involves routine duties in common areas and exterior sites, with opportunities to contribute to landscaping and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include trash removal, reporting maintenance needs, and assisting with moving and installing appliances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least one year of manual labor experience relating to the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, mop, and scrub stairways, corridors, lobbies, restrooms, laundry rooms and elevators as scheduled.
• Perform grounds maintenance including trash/debris removal and exterior cleaning to maintain curb appeal.
• Operate and maintain basic power tools and report safety concerns immediately.
• Assist in trash-outs of vacant units, move appliances, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Provide after-hours/emergency coverage as needed and follow safe work procedures.
