Job summary

TrulyHired seeks a Maintenance/Grounds position for the school district for the 2025-2026 year. The role covers general grounds maintenance, yard duties, trash removal, and building upkeep across district facilities. Position is non-exempt and at-will, with a 260-day schedule and base pay of $14.39 per hour.

Eligibility includes a valid SC driver's license, background check, and satisfactory employment history. TB test on file required prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Positive employment history preferred.
• SLED/criminal background review required.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance of the grounds within the school district.
• Perform yard duties to maintain the school grounds (grass cutting, trimming shrubs, etc.).
• Keep grounds free from trash and rubbish.
• Maintain building and premises (sidewalks, driveways, play areas) clean and neat at all times.
• Report any necessary major repairs and/or damage of district property.
• Provide assistance in other maintenance areas as assigned

Job Duties

• Provide general maintenance of the grounds within the school district


• Perform yard duties in order to maintain the school grounds in an attractive condition (i.e. grass cutting, trimming shrubs, etc.)


• Keeps grounds free from trash and rubbish


• Maintain building and premises (i.e. sidewalks, driveways, play areas) clean and neat at all times


• Report any necessary major repairs and/or damage of district property


• Provide assistance in other maintenance areas as assigned


• Perform other related duties as required, as well as all other duties as assigned
