Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is hiring for a Plant Maintenance Generalist trainee at our Sedalia, MO facility.

You will train to perform preventative maintenance on equipment, rebuild machines as directed by your supervisor, and participate in safety-focused operations across shifts. You will learn to use the computerized maintenance management system, communicate with the right personnel, and complete the required tasks during the application process.

Qualifications

• Plant Maintenance Generalist: 3 Months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
• All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application.
• Relocation assistance: No (as stated in the posting).
• Active participation in safety regulations and a willingness to learn the computerized maintenance program.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Rebuild equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Learn and use the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Communicate with proper personnel.
• Be prepared for shift/department rotation and follow safety regulations.
