Job summary

Tyson Foods in Cullman, AL is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Generalist (MG01) to perform preventative maintenance and assist in keeping equipment and assets operating. The role is cross-trained across all production duties and focuses on safety and adherence to Tyson Foods policies.

Starting pay is $20.15 per hour. The position offers benefits, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, and health, life, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Up to six months of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance; agriculture milling experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills for training purposes.
• Ability to obtain and retain PIT Certification.
• Ability to work at heights.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Generalist (MG01) is an entry-level maintenance position responsible for performing preventative maintenance and assisting in maintaining and repairing equipment and company assets. This role ensures a safe work environment and adheres to Tyson Food’s policies and procedures. This position is cross-trained across all production job duties.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble equipment.
• Housekeeping responsibilities.
• Operate and maintain mobile equipment.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Engage in physical activities such as climbing, standing, bending, sitting, and carrying/pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs multiple times monthly.
• Work in varying temperature conditions, both hot and cold.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Work at heights.

External Requirements
