Job description

Erosion Control Installation and Maintenance/New Construction Landscape Maintenance Foreman Position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Install erosion control using provided plans.
2. Inspect erosion control measures to ensure silt is not leaving the construction site and record findings.
3. Clean and repair erosion control systems as necessary.
4. Maintain landscapes for new construction projects for 1 month to 1 year post-installation, including setting up and maintaining temporary irrigation, mowing, trimming grass, and keeping sidewalks and parking lots clean. Training and mentoring will be provided.
5. Supervise team members when tasks require more than one person.
6. Operate hydromulchers for hydromulch installation.
7. Maintain a good driving record and obtain a CDL if necessary.
8. Pass a background check to access work sites such as Ft. Riley and NBAF.
9. Coordinate with other landscape crews as needed.
10. Operate landscape equipment including skid steers, rototillers, trenchers, chainsaws, sod cutters, brick saws, and others.
11. Perform snow removal duties, including plowing and shoveling during winter.
12. Perform other duties as required.
13. Ability to lift 80+ pounds regularly.
