Job description

Erosion Control Installation and Maintenance/New Construction Landscape Maintenance Foreman Position

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Install erosion control using plans provided.
2. Inspect erosion control to ensure silt is not leaving the construction site and record findings.
3. Clean and repair erosion control systems as necessary.
4. Maintain landscapes for new construction projects, typically between 1 month and 1 year post-installation, including setting up and maintaining temporary irrigation, mowing, trimming, and cleaning sidewalks and parking lots. Training and mentoring will be provided.
5. Supervise team members when tasks require more than one person.
6. Operate hydromulchers for hydromulch installation.
7. Maintain a good driving record and be willing to obtain a CDL.
8. Pass a background check to access sites like Ft. Riley and NBAF.
9. Collaborate with other landscape crews as needed.
10. Operate landscape equipment such as skid steers, rototillers, trenchers, chainsaws, sod cutters, brick saws, etc.
11. Perform snow removal, including plowing and shoveling during winter.
12. Perform other duties as required.
13. Be able to lift 80+ pounds regularly.
