Job summary

Growers Transplanting Inc. in Salinas, CA seeks a Maintenance Administrator to oversee work orders, coordinate repairs, and manage fleet maintenance records.

You will support the Maintenance Manager and collaborate with Safety, Accounting, and HR to maintain compliance and accurate reporting. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, basic MS Office proficiency, and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of automobiles, trucks, and heavy agricultural equipment helpful.
• Three to five years of related experience.
• Experience using maintenance and repair data-management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills across organizational levels.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask with accuracy.
• Valid California driver’s license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee creation, follow-up, and completion of work orders.
• Guide technicians in maintaining accurate records for assigned work orders.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance schedules for fleet availability.
• Support the Maintenance Manager and purchasing in processing purchase orders.
• Organize and account for replacement parts for the facility.*
• Provide information to accounting in a timely manner.
• Develop and administer tool check-in/check-out system.
• Provide updates on work-order status to Shop and Maintenance Managers.
• Coordinate with Safety, Accounting and HR to maintain fleet compliance records.
• Maintain DOT compliance records including 90-day inspections.
• Participate in inventories of equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
• Coordinate equipment rentals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
