U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the complete operation of our maintenance facility in Chattanooga, ensuring a safe, efficient environment and effective personnel management.

You will supervise hiring, training, evaluations, scheduling, and performance reviews while coordinating with operations on out-of-service equipment and fleet maintenance. The role requires strong leadership, DOT knowledge, and analytical skills to drive downtime reduction, cost control, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; one year of professional experience per year of college required.
• Maintenance vocational experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe yet efficient work environment.
• Supervise personnel: hiring, training, evaluating, scheduling, and productivity reviews.
• Monitor turnover and implement morale/retention improvements.
• Provide corrective action plans as needed.
• Coordinate maintenance of trucks and trailers and report on status.
• Produce daily reports on out-of-service equipment and communicate with operations.
• Respond to driver issues and assist vendors with invoices.
• Review repair orders and participate in accident reviews.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance and properly manage inventory.
• Maintain quality control through BPMs and vehicle repairs.
