Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living in Wisconsin seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to lead the maintenance team ensuring facilities, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and visually appealing for residents, visitors, and staff.

You will implement preventative maintenance, supervise staff, refurbish apartments for move-ins, and manage fire safety and emergency systems, with occasional local travel and overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or accredited maintenance training with relevant experience.
• Applicable state licensure; Chauffeur License within 30 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal, computer, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, travel locally, and periodically overnight.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document preventative maintenance programs.
• Supervise and train maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas, including apartments, offices, and grounds.
• Prepare and refurbish apartments for move-ins (painting, flooring, ceiling fans).
• Maintain and repair facility equipment; manage fire safety and emergency systems.
• Inspect apartments for hazards and perform janitorial tasks as needed.
• Transport residents in company vehicles; respond to emergencies as required.
