Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to lead the maintenance team, ensuring the facility, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and attractive for residents, visitors, and staff. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will implement preventative maintenance programs, supervise staff, maintain interiors and exteriors, and prepare move-in apartments. Strong interpersonal, computer, and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or accredited maintenance training required.
• State licensure; Chauffeur License within 30 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal, computer, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, travel locally, and periodically overnight.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document preventative maintenance programs.
• Supervise and train maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Maintain interior and exterior areas, including apartments, offices, and grounds.
• Prepare and refurbish apartments for move-ins (painting, flooring, ceiling fans).
• Maintain and repair facility equipment; manage fire safety and emergency systems.
• Inspect apartments for hazards and perform janitorial tasks as needed.
• Transport residents in company vehicles; respond to emergencies as required.
