Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment and facilities meet safety and regulatory standards.

The role focuses on the Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration System and Fire System, performing preventative maintenance and repairs across warehouse operations. You will inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems; supervise outside contractors, manage routine maintenance, and maintain detailed service logs for audits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Ammonia Operator I certification required.
• Technical certifications in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or refrigeration preferred (e.g., CIRO, CARO).
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Trained Industrial Equipment Repairperson including forklift and pallet jack certification.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 days per year.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair warehouse equipment and document each service performed.
• Complete daily work orders and PMs scheduled for all rolling equipment.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC units, fire systems, and refrigeration systems.
• Schedule routine building maintenance and coordinate external contractors as needed.
• Solicit bids from outside contractors and oversee project/repairs performed by contractors.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, concrete, and carpentry duties for building maintenance.
• Exterior maintenance tasks including snow removal, lawn care, landscaping as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance for facilities, fixtures, equipment, and machinery.
• Adhere to company policies, standards and best practices.
• Communicate with DC management daily on property/equipment issues.
