Job summary

Fall River Die Cast is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead the Maintenance Department and drive safety, reliability, and cost‑effective production across our die cast operations.

You will champion preventive/predictive maintenance, manage MRO inventory, and partner with Operations to support production and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, hands‑on mechanical/electrical knowledge, and CMMS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 2+ years in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role.
• Hands‑on knowledge across mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, electrical (480/120/24V), and automation systems.
• Proven track record of building or improving preventive maintenance programs and reducing unplanned downtime.
• Experience managing spare parts / MRO inventory (min/max, reorder points).

Responsibilities

• Safety: enforce LOTO, machine guarding, and OSHA compliance, and keep safety-critical systems on PM.
• Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Build and continuously improve a PM program for die cast machines, presses, furnaces, robotics, and facility systems.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Partner with Die Cast Manager and Operations to prioritize daily production support and improvements.
• Establish and manage a well-stocked MRO inventory and vendor relationships for parts availability.

Position: Maintenance & Facilities Manager

Pay: $115,000+ salary based on experience & qualifications.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, specific hours to be mutually agreed upon per production requirements.

Reports to: Operations Manager

As Maintenance Manager at Fall River Die Cast, you will be joining a dynamic team at a growing manufacturing company in a critical technical leadership role. This is a working leadership position responsible for growing and leading the Maintenance Department to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across our manufacturing operations. Driving excellence in preventive/predictive maintenance, root cause and corrective action, MRO, and break-down response will be critical to success. This role will work closely with the Operations, Engineering, Administrative, and Management teams to drive continuous improvement and support business growth. Additional duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Safety – Champion a safe work environment; enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and OSHA compliance, and keep safety-critical systems on PM.
• Team Leadership – Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team, setting clear expectations, priorities, and accountability; support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Build, implement, and continuously improve a PM program for all die cast machines, trim presses, furnaces, robotics/automation, and facility systems; enforce PM completion, track compliance, and steadily reduce reactive/emergency work.
• Reliability & Root Cause – Perform root cause analysis on recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions to eliminate repeat breakdowns.
• Production Partnership – Partner with the Die Cast Manager and Operations team to prioritize daily production support and long-term improvements, providing hands‑on support during major breakdowns and critical projects.
• MRO & Vendors – Establish and maintain a well-stocked, well‑organized spare parts crib with defined min/max levels, reorder points, and critical spares; manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure parts availability and urgent breakdown support.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong safety mindset and dedication to helping drive safety culture.
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2+ years in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated hands‑on knowledge across mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, electrical (480/120/24V), and automation systems.
• Proven track record of building or improving preventive maintenance programs and reducing unplanned downtime.
• Experience managing spare parts / MRO inventory (min/max, critical spares, reorder points).
• Proficiency with a CMMS and with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills; able to prioritize and hold a team accountable.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred.
