Job summary

Arvato is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead proactive maintenance across our Louisville facility. You will maximize equipment uptime while ensuring safety and budget compliance.

The role requires supervising teams, coordinating vendors, and driving improvements for conveyors, robotics, and automation systems. Travel up to 10% may be required; overtime for outages could occur.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar.
• Experience supervising others.
• Capable of standing for long periods in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Work shift: Mon–Fri, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, and assign projects to supervisors, project engineers, and technicians for maintenance and utilities.
• Oversee vendors on site; negotiate to reduce overhead costs and handle repairs and upkeep.
• Delegate work to improve equipment efficiency and reliability in operations.
• Maintain PM records and lead downtime reduction efforts for equipment.
• Assist in R&D of new products, processes, or CAPEX projects.
• Develop and modify equipment to meet production, quality, or layout needs.
• Assist in new building selection and fit-out to Arvato specs.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, robotics, and automation systems; support WCS and PLCs.

Job Description

Arvato is seeking a hands‑on, self‑motivated Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead proactive and preventive facility maintenance across our facility in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge and experience in facilities management and work cross‑functionally to maximize equipment and facility resources while meeting safety and budget requirements.

Your Tasks

• Supervise, guide, and assign projects to supervisors, project engineers, and engineering technicians relating to the engineering, development, maintenance, and special projects of all machinery and equipment.
• Be responsible for overseeing all vendors on property, negotiating with vendors to reduce overhead costs, and any facility‑related repairs and general upkeep.
• Delegate work projects for the improvement of the efficiency and reliability of equipment used in operations.
• Maintain equipment PM records and lead in reducing the downtime of equipment.
• Assist and/or lead in research and development of new products, processes, or CAPEX projects.
• Develop and modify equipment to meet the department’s production, quality, or layout requirements.
• Vendors include, but not limited to, housekeeping, recycling, trash, and miscellaneous day‑to‑day requirements.
• Assist in new building selection and fit‑out to meet Arvato specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex conveyor, robotics, and automation systems.
• Ability to support and troubleshoot WCS and PLC's.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in a Facilities Manager role or similar experience.
• Must possess a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience supervising others.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
• Must be able to work long hours, including overtime if needed.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Work shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; weekends and nights are required if there are issues/outages.
• Work location: 2500 Export Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40219.
